About Us

About Us

Poultney Coworking Studio is a historic loft space in the heart of downtown Poultney, Vermont where freelancers, remote employees, and artists of all backgrounds can come to gather and work. We offer private desks as well as shared tables and a separate phone call/video meeting area for getting work done. We also organize public gatherings in the space outside of work hours.

We've outfitted the space accordingly with original art from local artists on the walls, a top of the line espresso machine for making the best cappuccinos in the region, and a state of the art projector and speaker system for post-work entertainment. There's also a separate PA system for event-use and the occasional cheeky karaoke night.

We expect all members and visitors to abide by our code of conduct as laid out below when using the space.

Code of Conduct

In order for this to be a productive and welcoming space for everyone, we ask that all members agree to treat each other with dignity and respect at all times. If you are unable to work because of another member’s conduct, you should say something to that person as kindly as possible. And if you are on the receiving end of feedback from another member, please listen in good faith.

To keep membership affordable, we do not employ a full-time office manager. On most days, at least one member of the management team will be in the loft and available to help with any issues that arise, but members and guests are expected to clean up after themselves and help each other out whenever possible.

As a community space, talking amongst members is ok, even during work hours. Just be mindful of your volume and keep extended conversations away from the reserved desk area.

While using the space, please refrain from expressing potentially offensive viewpoints or controversial topics. Use your best judgment, but at a baseline, we encourage members to avoid gossiping and discussing politics in shared areas during work hours.

If someone is making you feel uncomfortable, please let management know. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, anti-religious sentiment, and other forms of discrimination will not be tolerated. First offenses will result in a verbal warning. Additional transgressions may result in membership termination without a refund.
